This year has been going really well for new singles so I decided to gather some of my favourites and share a few thoughts on them.
Please do give all of them a listen, they’re all quite mixed, running through a few genres so I’m sure you’ll be able to find something to your liking.
Vieira and The Silvers – Grasping For Love

If you ever felt like you were missing something from your life it was probably this single. The weather is getting better and the sun is out, all you need now is to put this on and dance. It’s energetic and cheerful, takes you back to the 70s full of rock and roll. It’s groovy with a slow part in the middle that builds up and comes back with a bang. It also comes with a lovely music video too.
By the time this article is up the Silvers came out with another single called Fire In The Breeze, also with a music video!
This article may as well be a weather forecast the way all I am talking about is the weather, well this just shows that this small selection of new releases are perfect for feeling new again.
The Outset – Won’t Get Me/ Thinking Man’s Blues

Is this a lost Beatles record? The late sixties are definitely back, sound wise at least. This single consists of two fresh and fun songs from the Southern California based group: Thinking Man’s Blues and Won’t Get Me. It’s psychedelic and you get a great guitar solo, it’s catchy. I also really love the cover. A nice one to groove out to. It’s exciting to see what they might come up with next!
Creeping Jean – Meteorites

Interesting references regarding what he might or might not be. I have yet to see them live but they don’t seem to disappoint, from the beginning they always brought something original and authentic, it’s indie and rock and roll. This single is upbeat, definitely stays in your head after giving it a listen. They also put out a nice little video for this single.
Seven Red Lions – Alone

Alone is more on the heavier side, the riff is very catchy! I’ve seen Seven Red Lions live before and they’re heavy and energetic, the crowd went crazy for them, so when I heard the single I wasn’t expecting less from them. Perfectly encapsulates the whole band, it’s fun!
Thanks for reading! I sadly do not own any of the pictures/cover art seen in the article. For info or anything head over to @digitmusicmagazine on instagram or email me at digitmusicmagazine@gmail.com : )
